I am sorry you are having a problem with the washer. I will be happy to assist you. If you turn the shaft counter clockwise, the agitator should turn. It is best to have a helper watch the agitator because you will have to turn it quite a bit to get it to move. Then turn the shaft clockwise and watch the chrome clutch drum above the gear case. Again, you will need to turn the shaft quite a bit to see it move. If you see the agitator and the chrome clutch drum turn the gear case should be fine.
