Question and Answers

Q:

washer makes noise and doesn't spin 11026812690 Kenmore Washer

Q:

Where can I find the owners manual for my Kenmore 80 series washer?

A:

I know how important it is to have the owners manual for most of your appliance so that you can have some detailed information about your appliance. I have taken the time to research your model on the Manage My life website and was not able to find any information to your model. I recommend reconfirming the model number to your Washer and once confirmed reply back to this thread with the detailed model number. this will allow the expert to reply with a detailed response.

I have ordered a new top open close on off switch. It is waterproofed so the wire harness runs into the back of the machine. Must I take the entire back off to replace or can I access the very top where the controls are? Thanks

Second question, assuming I take the back off, how hard is it to replace the shocks (cushioning) the bucket. I think mine are tired....bounced on spin cycle. Thankx

A:

The start button is normally replaced by placing the control panel in the service position (see Image below). The back of the washer is not to be removed. In order to replace internal parts, the cabinet will need to be removed. If the unit is bouncing on spin, it is possible the clothes are out of balance or the unit is not leveled. If you have checked these out and they are not the issue, it is possible there could be a suspension problem. Once you remove the cabinet you can inspect for vibration. Please see the images provided below from the service manual that explains how to remove the cabinet. NOTE: pull the console end caps off to expose the screws that you will need to remove. The suspension system shouldn't be too difficult to do. If this information doesn't help or for further assistance, please respond to this thread with the complete model number of your washer and more detail.

I need to get into the washing machine. Pretty sure there are dead mice in there. Works fine but I hate the smell.

Q:

kenmore washer series 80 motor coupler Part #: 3364003 110.26812690

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears, I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore washer.

From the information provided above, the motor coupler is a common piece to replace on the washer. It is not too difficult to get to but will take some time to replace. I have located a video to get you an idea of what will need to be done and from there you can determine if it’s something you can do yourself.  Click here for the video.

I hope you found this information helpful. Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Absolutely fantastic, I got the part and in 45 minutes we were up and running like brand new! I sneaked it in by removing the pump then the 2 clips on the motor, separated it from the assy and replaced the part. Job went fine. I hope you have a great day also~ Thanks so much Samantha! .........nick
