Question and Answers

Q:

Washer don't spin or drain 110.26702690

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears, I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore washer.

One of the most common parts to cause no spinning or draining will be the lid switch. The lid is always being opened and shut on a regular basis and gets used every wash. So from closing the lid over time, it causes a lot of wear and tear on the lid switch. When the switch is on its way out you will be able to push on the lid to get it going a couple of times but eventually the part will end up needing replacement. Which to me sounds like it will more than likely be your lid switch. Once this is replaced it will spin and drain properly. I have pulled the part number for your switch 3949238. To prevent or get longer life out of the switch, when you close the lid try to not just let it slam down.

I hope you found this information helpful. Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. We appreciate your business.

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your washer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 11026702690 and the issue will be the inlet water valve. The valve uses solenoids that open and close the valve and with time they will not close properly. Here is a link for a video that will help with troubleshooting the issue you are having. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. I trust this information will help you.

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your washer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 11026702690 and I suspect that the pin you found is the knurled pin item 8 in the diagram. The machine will be out of balance if this pin is not in place. I trust this information will help you.

Thanks for the help. I had the pin back in place, still out of balance. I replaced the bearing (bushing) #9 on the brake and drive tube drawing, still no luck. I would think there would be a bearing or bushing at the top of the shaft, like 3,4,or 5. Nothing is called a bushing, and 5 is not available. I have checked all springs are in place. The tub will spin fine, until it gets to top speed, then is starts a rhythmic wobble, and goes in and out of balance as it spins. With no load, I can hold the top with my hands, and keep it from banging, but as soon as I let go, it starts banging again. I think the problem showed up after I changed the coupler because I cleaned all of the grease out of the clutch while I had it apart. The tub spins a lot faster then it did before. Thanks Don
