Question and Answers

Q:

I owmn kenmore top loading washer model #110.23012101 and it is making a grinding noise whenn it is in the spinn mode. What could be wrong. 11025292503 Kenmore Residential washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer makes a grinding noise in the spin cycle. I did look into the model number you have provided and I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found that the grinding noise can be coming from a bad tub bearing, gearcase, or clutch. I would recommend taking the unit apart and checking the clutch first then the bearings and then the gearcase. If the clutch is broken it will cause the unit not to spin or agitate. The bearing would cause a grinding noise if they are going bad.

I would recommend a technician take a look at the unit to disassemble.

Click here for more information on noises in the washer.

I have attached the instructions to be able to get to the bearings.

Let me know if this helps.
