Question and Answers

Q:

How do you access and replace the bleach hose on a Kenmore Elite washer?

A:

Once you slide the cabinet off you will have access to all of the internal components. Please see the images provided that explains how to access the inside of the cabinet. NOTE; once you get the console lifted up you will see an opening on the left hand side. Under the opening cover you will need to pull the 3 hoses off of the triple connector. Do not get them mixed up.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Having additional details would be helpful in getting a better understanding of the complete symptom. Since the washer will begin agitating then it's not likely a faulty water level pressure switch. If the water will shut off by pushing in on the timer knob then it could have a faulty timer. If the water does not shut off when the timer knob is pushed in; the water inlet valve is faulty on the washer.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Hi Barett,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life. I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

Most likely this is a bad tub seal (part number 383727). Here is a video that will demonstrate replacing the tub seal; Video . Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. After removing the agitator and basket look for obvious signs of leaks.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here, and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.
