Q:

At the end of the spin cycle or when the door is opened, it doesn't brake. I just spins until it slow on its own. 11024862300 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model 11024862300; it sounds like the timer may need to be replaced. The timer controls the cycles for the washer so when it fails it can cause the unit to keep spinning even after the cycle is supposed to end. I have posted a link of the timer to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Carlos, Thank you for your suggestion. The problem is not just at the end of the cycle, but also when the top is opened. Do you still think it's a timer problem? Marvin

Q:

Machine won't spin--does agitate and rinse 11024862300 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore washer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your washer malfunction, after researching model number 110.24862300. The issue seems to be with the motor coupler. This is what connects the motor to the gear case allowing the washer to spin. The coupler is probably damaged or stripped. The part number for the coupler is 285753A. this is available on our website at SearsPartsDirect.com. I have linked the part here.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

How to remove agitator 11024862300 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Hi!

To remove the agitator from a Kenmore washer lift up the hood to reveal the washer tub and agitator. Remove the agitator cap by unscrewing it and remove the agitator bolt. You will then need to put on safety gloves and place your hands beneath the agitator and tug on it to release it.

I will inlcude a schematic for the agitator components on your washer.
