The good news is that there are three suspension springs and the other two should give you an idea where the missing one goes.

The image below may also be of help.

There is one counterweight spring. It would be located across from the motor.

I hope this helps you find the place for the spring you have.

You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance with this problem.

Q:

My Kenmore Elite King size Quiet pakIII 3 speed motor washer will expel water but will not spin

A:

Hello, a washing machine is a very important household appliance it helps you with not having to go to the laundry mat and share washing machines with other people. It is a very handy appliance and I completely understand how frustrating it can be when it doesn't work. A suggestion that I have for you while you wait for an answer from an expert is visiting the Sears Home Services website. They have a lot of helpful tips and troubleshooting information. I have provided the link below if you are interested in visiting the site. Hope this helps!

If the water is draining out then the motor is turning okay and the no spin problem will likely be with the clutch and/or basket drive.

More detail about what is happening in spin would be helpful. If the basket doesn't spin then try giving it a push. If you can turn the basket the problem can be a bad bearing or something under the basket jamming it.

You don't mention any error codes.

If you give the basket a push and it starts to spin then you likely have a weak basket drive.

This would require the transmission being removed.

The first image shows how to raise the console and remove the cabinet.

Remember to unplug the washer first.

Before taking anything apart I'd suggest trying to enter and rung a diagnostic test. See the 2nd image for how to do this.

I hope this information is helpful to you but if there are additional details I may be able to help you further.
