Q:

I'm replacing part #3949432 and I'm unable to remove knob (3948416) what do I need to do? 11023012102 Kenmore Elite Automatic washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you.

Once the console is opened, push the timer knob in. Then hold the tab on the back of the timer and pull out on the knob. This should release the knob. After the knob is off slide the dial off the timer shaft. To reassemble the washer, just reverse these steps.

Q:

I have a Kenmore Elite Washer Model 11023012102, it washes & agitates & drains but it is not spinning so the clothes are soaked at the end of the cycle 11023012102 Kenmore Elite Automatic w...

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the issue with the clothes still being soaked after the cycle, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.

If the washer is agitating then the coupler is okay. A broken coupler would affect both agitation and spin.
If the motor is running and the machine is not spinning the first thing I recommend is to try and turn the spin basket by hand. You'll have to raise the lid and keep the lid switch engaged but see it the basket will turn.
Sometimes if you give the basket a push it will start to spin and this would indicate a problem with the basket drive or clutch.
If the basket doesn't turn then there can be something (clothes) under the basket jamming it. If the basket doesn't turn then the spin bearing can be locked up.
If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-349-5071, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.
Hope these suggestions help and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

With the noise the washer is making I would believe the coupler has broken the washer.  This is a device the couples the motor to the transmission.  If you place the washer in the spin part of the cycle and start it up the unit should drain but not spin.  If so the coupler is faulty and need replacing.  This requires the removal of the motor and you may want a Sears Home Services  technician out to troubles shoot and repair the problem.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
