Question and Answers

Q:

Washer knob and dial problem. 11022982100 Kenmore Washer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Presuming you purchased the OEM parts, timer knob of 3948416, and the dial of 3949432; these are original parts and should work the same as the originals. I would say something went wrong during installation. Was the timer in a certain cycle or setting when the old components were taken off? If it was in the off position, it should be a pretty straight forward install.
I would recommend watching a few YouTube videos in regards to installing the timer knob and dial and see if there were any steps that were missed or something simple that may have been overlooked.
I ran a quick search for videos and have linked my results below:

Hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I wanted to take a picture of the self leveling mechanism with the leveling spring attached but we do not have one here. When I get home today I will take some pictures and then reply Monday with Images.
