Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the washer parts.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Washer model number 110.21894000.

This problem is one of two options to look at and test with a meter.    1st item and cheapest to chesk is the "LID SWITCH" the second item then will be the "TIMER".
Check them both for the continuity.

I’m sorry; we need the model number in order to access the service manual & other related material to be able to provide you with model specific troubleshooting tips. This model may have the lid switch in line of the motor, be sure the lid switch is engaging. You should hear the click of the lid switch if you listen carefully. Please resubmit with a complete valid model number for further assistance.

Thanks for the reply. The model # is 11021894000. I don't think that there is a lid switch. The washer has run with the lid up or down. I know some machines stop when the lid is up. This machine hasn't done that since I've owned it.
