Q:

How much water should one large load of wash take for Kenmore Elite Washer Model No. 110.20982991?

A:

Most top load washers hold approximately 15 gallons of water per cycle.

The washer will fill for wash, 15 gallons, and then drain and fill for rinse, 15 gallons, and if you selected extra rinse it would fill again.

Most top load washers would use between 30-45 gallons of water per load.

The 60 gallons you mention seems high but a super capacity washer might hold 20 gallons of water and if the extra rinse was used then you'd be at 60 gallons. Even to use this much water you'd have to be selecting extra rinse every load.

I hope this information helps with your problem.
