Question and Answers

Q:

Agitator spins instead of tub 11020972991 Kenmore Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer is not working properly.

I did see that the main causes for the agitator to spin and not the basket is:
Broken gearcase
 Spin basket itself is broken
The hub nut is loose.

I recommend checking to make sure the hub nut is on tight and on correctly. If it is then we recommend a service techcnician because these are all the parts associated with the issue and you have already replaced them.

You can also visit searpartsdirect.com for parts, diagrams, and repair information.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.
