The sides of the washer are not connected to the base, what connects these together, i.e. Stews or clips? 11020954992 Kenmore Automatic washer

Q:

how do you find the date of a washer with just the ser. #? 11020954992 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

On most Kenmore washers, the serial number does not indicate the date of manufacture. However, based upon the model number provided, our records show this particular unit was manufactured in year 2000. It may have been sold for a year or so afterwards.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

washer will not spin or drain in spin cycle mode 11020954992 Kenmore Automatic washer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the washer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Washer model number 11020954992 .

You are certain it is not the lid switch.  Let me see what other possibilities it may be then.

You have checked the drain hose to make sure there is no blockage nor kinked.   Make sure you check the water spill out also to make sure it isn't blocked.

Is the humming by chance coming from the back side?   If so remove the 2 hoses,(cold and hot water hoses)  (Also have a bucket prepared to drop the hoses into for excess water).   See if there is any excess build up off the hoses or on the valves that may need to be scraped off.  Clean the ports and rehook up the hoses and see if that will stop the humming noise.

Is the pump draining?   If not then you need a new pump.
