I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your washer. This is usually caused by a faulty lid switch. On this washer a bad lid switch will allow the washer to fill but it will not allow it to wash, drain or spin. I recommend you check the lid switch for this particular problem. A good simple test is to put into the spin cycle and press down on the lid if it starts to spin then we know the lid switch is the problem. If this des not help, the lid switch on this washer is accessed by removing the washer outer cabinet. The instructions to do so are in the image below. Your washer has two end caps that must be removed to access the two screws holding the console down. The switch can be checked for continuity if you have access to a volt/ohm meter and are comfortable in using it. The instructions also include a way to check the lid switch without a meter by jumping the lid switch. Use extreme caution if you try this. I hope this helps. I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your washer. You did not indicate if the washer motor is actually running or humming when set into the spin mode with the lid down. If the washer motor is running during the drain and spin cycle it would have to have a blockage in the tub hose, drain pump or drain hose.

If the washer motor will run during the agitation cycle but will not run in the spin and drain mode that would most likely be caused by a broken lid switch. If the lid switch does not close when the lid is shut the washer motor will not run while it's in the spin and drain cycles. Check to confirm that the lid strike is still attached to the bottom of the lid and not broken off or missing. The lid strike must make contact with the lid switch in order to close the switch or it will not run at all in the spin and drain cycle. You should hear a faint click of the lid switch closing when the lid is just about fully closed.

If your motor will operate in the wash cycle and the pump clicks or hums, then you will need to replace the pump. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, just click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread.
