Q:

Agitator siezed 110.20092991

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your agitator is not working on your washer.

I recommend checking the  motor coupling as well as the lid switch. The motor coupling can cause the unit to not spin or agitate.

285753A is the motor coupling that breaks and stops the spinning and agitation.

Example 2-piece agitator assembly

First step is to remove 2 screws from the console front. There should be one on each side and they will be under the plastic end cap covers that will pop off. Then the console will flip back on hinges.

Then you will see two large clips that you will need to pop out with a screwdriver. They attach the cabinet to the rear panel. You will also need to unplug the lid switch wires that are in the cabinet top. Then the whole cabinet should come off revealing the rest of the washer.

The pump unclips but don't remove the hoses or you will get water. Then there should be two screws that hold the motor retainers in place remove those and unplug the motor. Pop off the motor retainers and the motor should come off revealing the motor coupler. part #285753A.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your washer displaying an error code. We are here to help. The main cause of the error code F1 is a clog in the recirculation pump or the control board. Most likely the control board went bad. The images below will help you test and replace the control board. The part number for the electronic control board is 8312708. I hope this helps.

Q:

Why wont my washer drain water?

A:

In your details you failed to mention if the motor is running during the drain portion. You also did not mention any error codes. I'm not quite clear on why rocking the washer would cause it to start draining in the past. During the drain portion of the cycle two actions must take place. The motor must be running and the drain/recirculation valve must work correctly. The drain/recirculation valve redirects the water out the drain hose during the drain cycle.

There could be several different causes of not draining:

  • Clogged up diverter valve or drain hose.
  • Clogged up drain pump.
  • Failed diverter valve
  • Failed control board
  • Failed off balance switch

Resubmit your question with more details for more specific information.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer.

While this is not your exact question, the link below will give you instructions on removing the cabinet to gain access to the pump. There will be some additional hoses you will need to remove before you and tilt and remove the cabinet.

I don't think it will drain because the control is not telling it to drain. There is not clog. So it is one of the last three items. I wonder about how much this is going to cost? If I pay for someone who may or not not know their job since the other people did not, would he know how much these things cost. Is it possible that I can get an idea about how much this all would cost before I pay $129.00?
