I do apologize the only way to remove the agitator is to remove the nut out from the agitator. You may have to pry or break the nut to get it off. It could take some time to remove.

I understand your frustration when the washer won't spin. Most common reason for the washer not spinning is that the lid switch has failed. The lid switch tells the machine that the lid is closed and safe for it to go into spin cycle. The back of this washer is not intended to be removed for service. To service the washer the cabinet has to be removed. I have found a video that shows how to remove the cabinet.
