Thanks for the question about your washer model 11016612690, I will be glad to assist you with this issue. The agitator is a dual action agitator and if the top part is not agitating the dogs (agitator clutch) inside it are most likely damaged or worn out. Does the water level switch need to be replaced if the water won't stop filling?

A:

If the water stops filling when you press the timer in; the likely failure is one of the two failures listed below:

  1. Water level switch (it must break contact V&P or it will not stop filling)
  2. Hole in the water level pressure switch hose (air pressure leaking out so that the pressure switch can not open contact V&P)
