Q:

How do you lift the mower deck manually? 107289920 Craftsman Zero turn rear engine rider

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help you with your lawn tractor. Upon researching model 107289920; the mower deck is lifted by a motor and actuator. The rod would have to be moved. This can damage the motor or actuator.

Q:

Keeps throwing and breaking belt 107289920 Craftsman Zero turn rear engine rider

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the tractor.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Craftsman Tractor model number 107289920.

Is this the belt to drive the tractor or the belt that drives the blades.

In either case, the pulley would be the first thing to look at providing the belt is routed on the tractor correctly.

On the deck belt you have the pulleys to look at plus the idler arm and spring.  Key number 44 and 46 on the link below.

If the deck belt is the one falling off, it is most of the time the idler arm and or spring that needs to be replaced to keep the tension on the pulley for the belt.

You might also want to see how low your mower deck is riding. If the grass is thick then the grass will accumulate under the deck causing it to become clogged which, when overloaded, will throw the belt off. It's happened to me numerous times.
