1.So a 107.27772 uses 30 weight motor oil and not HYd. Fluid ? 2.With it being a sealed unit do you add it throught the Vent Tubes. My left side uint is leaking but works until you go up a steep grade and than slow to a stop unless I let it go back to almost neutral and go very slow up the grade.

Q:

Outer casing of PTO Clutch Spinning when blades are engaged 107277700 Craftsman Zero-turn rear engine rider

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the clutch. I know how frustrating that is.

There is a L-shaped clutch anchor bracket that secures the clutch. This bracket is welded to the frame. I suspect this bracket may have broke.

There is a replacement clutch anchor kit available. The part number is 1687195. This kit will include instructions for replacment.

You will need to remove and discard the left side rear engine mounting bolt. Install the clutch anchor using a new washer and capscrew provided in the kit into the rear engine mounting hole. You will torque the capscrew to 40 ft./lbs.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Great!! Thanks so much! Just one follow-up. The plug on my clutch was ripped off so I now have two bare wires and both are black. The wires coming from the switch are orange and black. If I hard wire does it matter which wires are connected to each other?
