It is unfortunate that your wet/dry vacuum has stopped working because these are such handy vacuums. I researched your question and found someone asked a question similar to yours. Here is what was posted by an expert, I have provided the link below. I hope this helps!

I checked the model number that you have submitted and this shop vac does not have a reset. If you have verified the outlet and the vacuum, will not turn on there is one of three possible failures. If you have a ohmmeter and are comfortable using it you can ohm the power cord and the switch. If you do not get an open load reading on the switch or the cord, the motor is at fault. I have checked the price of the motor and it is $107.00.

If the motor is the fault of the problem, I recommend purchasing a new vacuum. The cost of a replacement vacuum is $60.00. If you are interested in checking out that vacuum, please use the following link.

Make sure to unplug the vacuum before doing any testing.

I have lost the hose for this shop vac, and the original hose is no longer available. is there no other hose that will fit this model? The shop vac is still working perfectly, but I can't use it without a hose.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your question. It is concerning when the icemaker is not functioning correctly. The refrigerator does not show a filter and with the dirty ice, the inlet water tube could have gone defective and placed particles in the water mold. This would have also caused the water valve to clog up. I would recommend that the water supply first be checked and check the water valve to see if the valve is just clogged.

If this checks out there is a few things to be checked at the icemaker. Check if the mold lining is intact and not peeling off. If you find this is the case here is the link for the part, Whirlpool Refrigerator Model KTRS21MFWH00 icemaker kit .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this post.

I removed the ice maker, and underneath I see a long silver u-shaped metal tube. On one end, where the tube connects to the motor housing, it looks burned and blackish in color. What caused this and what do I do next?

Tom the u shaped tube is the heater calrod and it appears to have burned out. It is commected to the module of the icemaker. It comes with the icemaker kit.

Can I purchase the heater calrod separately and replace it, or do I need to replace the entire icemaker kit? I'm trying to reduce cost.

I understand the cost cutting reasons. I checked the cost of calrod and mold part and it is 40.00 dollars and if the module is burnt, which is likely, it costs 95.00. the complete icemaker kit is 132.00 dollars. You could take the front cover off and look at the module and the spots where the calrod connects to the module. If the contacts and connects and the connectors are burned get the kit. If you order the calrod order silicone grease pn number 542638. Let me know what you decide, if you do not mind.

The spots where the calrod connects to the module are discolored, like they were burned. There is an appliance parts store in town that has the icemaker kit for $107.00. I'll purchase it there. Why do you think that this occured? (I purchased the frig new 15 years ago).

There is silicone grease to protect the connections and keep the moisture off. The silicone just disolved and moisture got in. If you can get the kit for 107, that is a good deal. Good luck with it.
