Q:

Ice Maker 1069751723 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore refrigerator.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your ice maker malfunction, after researching model number 106.9751723. it seems to me like the water valve may be malfunctioning. The water valve may not be shutting properly allowing the water to continue running causing it to over flow in the ice maker. I would suggest testing the valve to see if this fixes the issue.  the part number for the valve is 2181917. Below I have linked some information on how to test the valve.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

*Safety disclaimer before you try and repair the unit make sure the power supply is disconnected *

Q:

How do I replace the door seal on my Kenmore refrigerator?

A:

I’m sorry; you are 100% correct. This model of refrigerator changed the way that the door gaskets are installed. The door liner is now foamed-in; this makes the door more rigid & the door gasket screws are no longer used. This door gasket just pushes in behind the lip of the liner. Please see the images provided.

I have a similar problem with Kenmore refrigerator model No. 10659502992. I need to remove the door liner (which is not held with screws) to replace a leaking water dispenser line. How do I remove and reinstall the liner?

Q:

How can we fix the gap in the seal on this Kenmore refrigerator?

A:

First make sure the door is not bowed. This is the case a lot of times especially with the door corners. Try pushing in on the door at the top corner while pulling out at the bottom. Sometimes the door will adjust by doing this.

If the door won't adjust the gasket will need to be worked with. By this I mean to soften the gasket, so it can adjust itself to the door. The best way to do this is with a hair dryer. Use the dryer to heat the gasket, which will soften it and allow it to adjust itself. Be careful not to heat the gasket to much and melt it. If you need more assistance you can resubmit your question with more details.
