Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem. No, the air diffuser should not get hot. When you say it keeps freezing on the top, do you mean it's icing? If it is icing and it's on the back wall, it will indicate a problem with the defrost system. If the floor of the freezer keeps icing, it will be a problem with the drain system. In either case, it could restrict the air flow to the fridge section and cause it to stop cooling. For more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
