Q:

Ice maker overflowing 106.9557980

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct.com. I will be happy to help with your. Upon researching model 106.9557980, I found the icemaker has an adjustment screw on the right hand side. Counterclockwise a quarter turn let sit for 24 hours. If still too much water then another quarter turn until the correct fill ratio is acquired.

If you have any further questions please re-post. Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day.

Checked the fill time, it was slightly over 7 seconds. Removed the ice maker after the water in the ice maker had frozen, top surface of ice was visible tilted. Inserted a shim behind the ice maker to level it relative to the shelf above. Ran through a fill cycle, ice maker still drips water into ice bin. Removed ice maker after water had frozen, top of cubes appeared parallel to top surface of tray with the top of the ice cube being ~?? inch below the top surface of the tray - so it's not overfilling. Reinstalled ice maker, tried turning the fill screw ½ turn clockwise to reduce the fill level, ice maker still drips water into the ice basket. Interior surface of the ice tray appears to be deteriorating, one of the screws securing the tray is corroded, have to assume the tray has developed a leak. Have ordered a new ice maker - hope it fixes it.
