Congratulations on your new appliances having your owner's manual is very important to have. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to add your whole model number to this thread so you can get a better answer from the experts!

Congratulations on your new purchase. Unfortunately, without a complete model number, I will not be able to provide specific information. However, in most cases, the water inlet valve will be on the right side, facing the back of the refrigerator. Now, as to which side, the water line should be on, it won't matter at all. The reason is because there will have to be enough tubing allowed, so the refrigerator can be pulled away from the wall.

To get the manual, a complete model number will be needed. I hope this will help you. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thanks for the reply Scott and Merry Christmas! My Model No. is 1069432480, and this refrigerator has a two prong electrical harness connector, with three wires. One side has as tan and white wire, the other side has a tan wire. Does it matter how I connect it to to the water valve assembly?

Kent, this is an older model side by side that does not show to have a factory installed icemaker. Normally, even when an icemaker kit is installed, the wiring will be the same, as a factory installed model. There will be a tan wire on one of the valve terminals and a white wire on the other terminal. I hope this helps you.

Hi,

Thank you for asking this question and allow me to answer it this way.

I think you have an icemaker installation kit not a good replacement kit. I am sending you a picture of the kit you should have with the different connectors for the icemaker wiring harness. It is hard to tell from the harness but the kit contains all the harness in the picture.

I hope this answer is useful and that it helps you correct the problem with your appliance.
Thank you for using ManageMyLife.
