Q:

refrigerator model # 10689482995 replacing ice maker need to have the operating pressures for suction side and head pressure

A:

The kind of values needed for this type maintenance may not be found in the owner's manual, but I did attach the manual if needed for other information. The expert will review and respond within two business days, if not sooner. If you decide to have a qualified technician help, the Sears Home Services link below can help with scheduling. I hope these links help if needed.

Thank you for your question. The pressures will vary as the ice is being made. Depending on the ambient temperature, the suction could start out around 10 or 15 psig and drop to 0 psig at the time right before harvest. The head pressure could start around 200 and drop to 90 psig. The new ice machine should already have the proper charge and the system should not need to be tapped into. Only a certified technician should make this type of check and only a Sears technician, while the system is under warranty. I hope this will help you.

Q:

under counter Ice maker drain pump

A:

Upgrades to an appliance are one way to get more years of service instead of buying new. While you wait for the expert response, I attached the link to Sears Parts Direct below. It does look like a pump has been added to the diagrams. I hope this link helps provide what is needed.

Q:

What is the type refrigerant I should use in our free standing ice maker? Kemore model # 10689482995

A:

Lack of information on a product can feel frustrating. I located a previous expert post that explains where to find this information on the fridge itself. It also has a link to more information if needed. If you do have a refrigerant leak, another option is to visit the scheduler at Sears Home Services link below and let the experts do the work. Hope this information helps while you wait for the expert.

Thank you for your question Paul.

I can understand wanting to know what type of refrigerant goes in the free standing ice maker.

I would suggest that you look on the model serial tag to see what this unit uses and how much Freon charge if will hold.

It will take 134A refrigerant.

It does not take R12.

If the system has a leak I would suggest repairing the leak or replacing the part that has gotten a leak if it is accessible.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
