The information you have already received is correct. Now, based on the information listed, this sounds like it could be a temperature problem. If the temperature gets above 10 degrees the icemaker probably won’t cycle. To check the temperature, place a thermometer between some packages. Air temperature is not a good check. If the temperature is to warm and the control is already set to the coldest setting, this could be a system problem. A technician would be needed, to make this type of check. Also check the back wall in the freezer, for a frost build up. This could also prevent the unit from cooling properly and would be a defrost related problem. In this case, it could be the defrost board, the element or the bi-metal. You can turn the unit off for awhile to allow it time to defrost and it will cool ok again for a few days. The icemaker would probably also work. This would allow time to have technician come out to check it. If you would like more assistance, additional details will be needed.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
