Q:

Freezer Smelling bad... 10674952400 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
I am sorry to hear of the unrelenting odor you are experiencing in the freezer, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.
There is no filter in the freezer to change and odors are not caused from the unit. Odors are caused from an item in the freezer. Usually it's from a container that was not sealed or closed good. Some odors can be very difficult to get out and sometimes it won't ever leave. Here are a few things you can do that might get it out:

Charcoal - Put a couple of bowls of charcoal inside the freezer in different areas. The charcoal will draw the odor to them. Replace the charcoal every 2 days for approximately a week.

Baking soda - Same as the charcoal

Vanilla - Put a small amount of vanilla on a rag and leave it inside the freezer. Change it every 2 days for approximately a week.

Odor rid - You can order some odor rid deodorizer, # 4392894SRB and hang it in the freezer. I have added a link below that you may click on to order it if needed.
