I'm sorry you are having this problem. The information you have received is good but does not pertain to this model. Normally when both the icemaker and dispenser stop working, the water inlet valve will be the reason. To determine for sure, will require making some voltage checks. A technician may be needed to make these checks. A check you can make will be to verify that there is sufficient water pressure to the valve. To do this, disconnect power from the unit and shut the water supply valve off. Now take the water line loose at the inlet valve and place the end in a pitcher. Open the supply valve now and run some water into the pitcher. If the water comes out slow, the supply valve may be clogged. A plumber may be needed in this case. If the water comes out with good pressure, the valve will be the most likely problem. If you would like to take the chance and replace the inlet valve # 2188808 it's available at SearsPartsDirect . If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for the information. Based on this latest info, if you hear a humming sound when the dispenser activated, it indicates the water valve is getting energized but apparently not opening. The valve # 2188808 will probably need to be replaced. It's available at the link listed below. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

It's very unlikely that both the icemaker and dispenser lines are both frozen. However, if the dispenser water line is frozen, the most common place will be behind the crispers in the fridge section. For the icemaker, it will be the fill tube that enters the back of the icemaker.

Apparently you received the water valve. First, disconnect the power to the refrigerator. Now, pull the unit out far enough to remove the back panel cover. With the cover off, you will see the valve on the right side of the cabinet. Turn off the water supply valve at the wall and you can now remove the valve. The new valve may have the new push/pull type connections. I'm sending you a picture of how this connection works. I hope this will help you.
