Problem with Kenmore Refrigerator 106.73902301

Frost formation can buildup quickly when a refrigerator is not defrosting properly or when there are other problems affecting the performance. I see the buildup is around the fan right now. While you wait for the expert to review and respond you can check another expert post that may help. I attached the link below.

Frost around the fan blade in the freezer can be caused by a failure in the defrost system or a door gasket leaking air.

If the frost is on the outside of the evaporator cover and looks like snow, the problem is air leaking into the refrigerator or freezer.

If there is solid firm frost forming inside the evaporator cover, the problem is in the defrost system.

To put the refrigerator into a defrost cycle, disconnect the power to the refrigerator for 1 minute. Turn the refrigerator control to off then connect power to the refrigerator.

If you have questions, reply on this thread and I will be glad to help.
