Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern. The timer # 482493 is the correct timer. The loose timer lead should connect to terminal # 1 on this model. Now, when you say it's not working, do you mean it's running but not cooling or not running at all? If it's not running at all the problem will usually be with either the thermostat or the timer.

If its running but not cooling at all, it first needs to be determined if the compressor is running. If the compressor is running, the problem will probably be in the seal system or with the compressor. It could be a low charge, a restriction or the compressor may not be pumping properly. These are checks a technician will be required to make.

If the compressor is not running, it could be a problem with the starting device, the compressor itself or if the condenser motor is not running. If the motor is not running and the compressor is very hot, the motor will need to be replaced. If the motor is running but not the compressor, it can be very difficult to determine if the problem is with the starting device or the compressor unless the starting device is burnt. A technician will have a kit and meter, he can attach to the compressor, that will determine if the compressor or starting device has failed. Without this kit and meter, the only way to make this determination will be to take a chance and replace the starting device # 8201647 and capacitor # 2169373. If the compressor still wont run, it will need to be replaced. Im listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you would like more assistance, additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

A:

You did not mention if the compressor was running. If it is running and no cooling is taking place, this will be a problem inside the sealed system. This will require a technician to make this type of check and repair. If the compressor is not running, refer to the information you have already received pertaining to the starting device. If you would like more assistance, I will be glad to assist you further.

It was the starting device that was not working. You tell by shaking it and it rattles if broken, thanks...

Q:

How do I level my Kenmore refrigerator model 106.72854101?

A:

Core Issue: How do I level my Kenmore refrigerator model 106.72854101?

  1. Remove the base grille. The two leveling screws are part of the front roller assemblies which are at the base of the refrigerator on either side.
  2. Use a screwdriver to adjust the leveling screws. Turn the leveling screw to the right to raise that side of the refrigerator or turn the leveling screw to the left to lower that side. It may take several turns of the leveling screws to adjust the tilt of the refrigerator. Note: Having someone push against the top of the refrigerator takes some weight off the leveling screws and rollers. This makes it easier to adjust the screws.
  3. Open both doors again and check to make sure that they close as easily as you like. If not, tilt the refrigerator slightly more to the rear by turning both leveling screws to the right. It may take several more turns, and you should turn both leveling screws the same amount.
