I see this freezer is about 16 years old. Unfortunately the manufacturer stops producing parts and information after about 10 years. I see there are some parts or substitutions still available. I do not believe a schematic will be located by the parts group. The search initiated usually takes about 48 hours, I believe. You can call the Sears Parts Direct number back with the reference number provided to inquire. I did some research for diagrams and I have located some general electrical diagrams for the 106 model. You can view here; raybb.com . I hope this helps. Please reply iof further assistance is needed. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

Is relay assembly compatible with my freezer?

A:

I can understand wanting a second opinion on a part that was sent when the original is no longer available from the manufacturer for the Kenmore refrigerator. I am attaching a link that may be helpful. An expert will research this information and respond within 24-48 hours.

Thank you for your question. The new relay should have come with a instruction sheet. If it did not, here are some guidelines to use. Your refrigerator is a 27 cubic foot refrigerator. Use the over load protector part number 2187145. It is for 25 and 27 cubic foot models. Install the Red to the overload. Install the new White jumper supplied in the kit, between the old harness and the PTC relay. Install the blue to the capacitor, if your model uses a capacitor. If your model does not have a capacitor use the terminal cover provided in the kit to cover the bare terminal. If you have more questions please reply to this thread and I will gladly answer you.

Thank you for your question. It would appear the overload will be the problem. However, it's possible the compressor could be shorted or the relay could be burnt. If the relay appears ok, the most likely problem will be the overload # 819160. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
