I can understand your concern about this ice build up that continues to happen. The information you have received is good but this seems to be a different problem. Based on the information listed, it sounds like the drain is freezing up. First disconnect power to the unit and pull it out far enough to get behind it. You will now be able to see the drain tube and can pull it out to clean it. If it's stopped up, it may be the only problem. When it's clean and put back in place, pour some water down the back of the freezer panel, to see if the water will run out the drain. If it does drain now, you have probably solved your problem. If it still won't drain, everything in the freezer will need to be taken out, so the lower back panel can be removed. Remove the screws holding the panel in place and it can be pulled out. You will now see the evaporator and under it the drain. Pour hot water into the drain and wipe the excess until it's clear and the water runs down into the bottom drain pan. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.
