Thank you for your question. Replacing the gasket on this door is not very difficult. This has the push/pull type gasket. This gasket has a lip that fits in a liner in the door. The gasket will pull out and the new gasket will push back in place. When pulling this gasket out, pull it at an angle, not straight out. When replacing the gasket, start at the corners, then install the top and bottom and finally work the sides back in place. I'm attaching some pictures with instructions for the gasket.

The door handle has some screws on the top holding it in place. Remove the screws and lift the handle off. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.

Hi Jimmy K, Thank you for this, however this is not my problem. I actually did have this problem about 10 years ago and I fixed it by melting the ice in the icemaker fill tube with my hair dryer and I then never had that problem again. My problem is that the water entering the ice maker is too great a quantity. I adjusted the screw that should have fixed that, but it did not fix it. So, now I need to know what to do about it.

Donna, if the adjusting screw on the icemaker didn't correct your overfilling, the water valve on the rear of the refrigerator has probably failed. I recommend you replace the water valve. The water valve is located in the compressor compartment of the refrigerator and the water line from the house plumbing attaches to it. You can get the model number off your refrigerator and go to www.searspartsdirect.com and order the water valve. The water valve is shown on the "icemaker" page.
