There was a problem with the fill tube on your refrigerator. Water splashes over the edge of the fill tube sometimes when the icemaker is filling.

I am sending you an image showing the part number of a part that stops the splashing and instructions for installing it.

You will have to remove the icemaker and the rear panel (evaporator cover) from the freezer to make the repair. Disconnect the power to the refrigerator before removing any parts or panels.

Use a hair dryer to melt any ice in the freezer while you have the evaporator cover off.

I suspect this is the problem with the ice maker. Look at the instructions and if you are not comfortable doing the repair, go to www.searshomeservices.com and get a Sears technician to repair the refrigerator.

Hello, I realize this is a very old topic but I have the exact same problem. When the water fills the ice maker a small amount of water leaks into the ice bucket. I can't tell if it is splashing due to the force of the water or overfilling the cup. I've tried replacing the water inlet valve but no luck. I would like to try Jimmy K's suggestion but the image that he pasted is too small for me to get a part number. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Q:

Timer wire 10671182101 Kenmore Top-mount refrigerator

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your fridge and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 10671182101 and as you can see the wires are orange, white, red and pink. If there is a black wire instead of a red wire, it may go to terminal 4. The white wire shows to be going to terminal 3, the orange to terminal 1 and the pink to terminal 2. Normally there is not both a black and white wire that will be connected to the timer. It will usually be either a black or a white wire and these wires are used to determine how the timer is to be wired when there is no diagram. In this case, I would recommend having a technician check this, to trace out the wires and determine which terminals to connect them to.  If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.
