Thank you for submitting your question. Most of the new valves now have the push in type connections. The image provided below will instruct you on how to install the water lines into the new water valve. The tubes will just push into the new water valve. You should be able to cut the tubes behind the metal inserts to use the push-in style valve. I hope this helps. Thank you for choosing Manage My Life.

Thanks Scott PROBLEM IS FIXED! The problem was the solid state compressor start relay, detail "D" on the second page. After getting the relay, one day wait and $32.99 plus tax later, it took about 5 minutes to install and turn on and another 2 minutes to put the back cardboard on. Im going to drill out the rivet that holds the old start relay together and see what it looks like inside. For anyone doing a Google search, the relay has two numbers on it, which are 3ARR55M4F1A and 2212964. Hope this helps in the search. Again, thank you Scott, Jerry

I disassembled the old relay. There were no indications that it was defective. There was a slight noise when I shook the relay. This was caused by the metal connectors jiggling against the plastic housing. If you want to take the time to test a relay, Google: "solid state relay" + testing, for testing directions. The refrigerator has been running for two days. Hopefully that will turn into 9 or to years.
