A:

Needing to know the the capacity on your Refrigerator is always great to know especially when it comes to removing it. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to visit Sears Parts Direct website to speak with a Sears associate to find out the capacity size. Q:

Why does my Kenmore refrigerator model#10670834100, on occasion make a rattling noise? It works ok and the icemaker is ok.

A:

Core issue refrigerator occasionally makes a rattling noise.

Resolution:

  • Refrigerant (Freon) moving through the system can cause a rattling, especially as the compressor first starts up.
  • Remove, rearrange or pad any stored items atop the refrigerator such as houseplants, coins, pens, etc.
  • Move refrigerator away from water line in the rear or away from walls / cabinets along the side of the cabinet.
  • Refrigerators with a static condenser on the back (see picture below) require a rear clearance of 3 inches across the top of the condenser.
  • Level refrigerator so all 4 rollers / feet rest solidly on the floor.

If this doesn't help, please resubmit you question with more information. How often does it make the noise and what part of the refrigerator is the sound coming from?
