Thank you for your question. Replacing a door gasket can be a challenge. The magnet is built inside the gasket, which is why you do not see it. This type of gasket is a pull off and push back in type. There is a lip on this gasket that fits in a groove in the door. It will just push back in place. Now, if the gasket is in place all around the door and if the door panel is not cracked, the gasket will probably just need to be shaped to the door. It can take awhile for the gasket to make a good seal unless it's softened first to help shape it. A good method is to use a hair dryer on the gasket but be careful not to get it too hot and melt it.
