Q:

Icemaker Part

A:

Having to fix parts on your appliances yourself can cause more damage without any help on it. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to visit Sears Home Services website to set service with a Sears technician so they can diagnose this problem. You can also visit Sears Parts Direct website to speak with a Sears associate to find out what parts are needed. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. Yes, there is another coupling # 2315559 (# 29 in picture) that fits in between the shaft and the top coupling. The seal # 2198628 (# 24) will also be needed. I'm also sending some pictures with instructions for the original and new design mechanisms. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, please reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further. Any additional details will also be helpful.
