Q:

Ice maker not dispensing and frost buildup in area 106.59422801

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Refrigerator, Model: 106.59422801. I am so sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your refrigerator. From reviewing the details on this model, the issue is either the ice door is not sealing properly or there is warm moisture laden air leaking by the wiring harness into the ice chute. To seal the harness, the front cover will have to be removed.  If there’s frost underneath the In-Door Ice Bucket, Check and use silicone to seal wiring harness grommet in the top left of the ice and water dispenser housing. Visually check ice chute door for proper closure.

Safety Warning: Before beginning this repair, disconnect the power supply to the refrigerator to prevent risk of injury from electrical shock.

Caution: internal parts may have sharp edges that may cause serious cuts. Use caution and wear protective gloves if possible.

If you don’t feel comfortable/confident doing the repair yourself, you can have a Sears’s repair technician come to your home and repair it. Here is the link for the technician’s website: SearsHomeSerivce.

I hope this answered your question. Thank your for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, we appreciate your business. Have a great day.
