I can understand your frustration trying to replace this timer. First disconnect power to the refrigerator. To lower this control housing, pull the knobs out and then use a small screwdriver to pry the escutcheon (# 25 in picture) off. There will be a screw on each side behind the escutcheon and also remove the screws under the housing. You will then be able to lower the housing. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, additional details will be helpful. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Hello, The ice in my freezer melts a little bit, not completely, sometimes at night. When I open the freezer in the morning after this happens, I see little drips of water of under the ice maker, and usually I hear the motor turn on, and freezing begins again, refreezing the ice for the day. I thought about the thermostat, but thought I'd ask before trying that. Thoughts? Thanks in advance, Scott

Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about this water leak. You have received some good information from Joseph regarding this type of leak. However, the updated water tube is not listed for this model. If this is a constant drip, the valve # 2206123 will need to be replaced. If there is a pause in the drip, the reservoir may need to be emptied and refilled or replaced. A technician may be needed for this repair. However, before removing the reservoir, fill a glass of water from the dispenser and place it on the table and watch it. If bubbles rise in the water, it will indicate there is air in the water supply. In this case, the water company will need to make this repair. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

The answer pvalde2 sent is for a different type refrigerator.

To remove the front trim of the dispenser, remove the drip pan first. Locate the 2 slots on the bottom of the front edge of the trim. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into each groove and twist to pry the front trim off. Pull the bottom edge of the trim forward about 2 inches then lift the front trim off the top supports.

After you remove the front trim, you will see the dispenser body is held to the freezer door with screws. The dispenser is also held by the foam inside the door and is not removable.
