Hi,

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

The best way is to disconnect the refrigerator from the wall outlet and remove the icemaker from the side wall by loosening the two mounting screws.  Disconnect the power core to the icemaker at the icemaker by using a small flat blade screwdriver.  Remove the plastic cover, No 1 and this will expose three screws, remover the screws and remove No 2.  This will expose two sliver screws ant the bottom of the housing.  Remove both of the screws and pull the housing off.  Now you can replace either the ejector or the ice stripper.  Reassemble in reverse order.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

Thank you for your question. Based on the information listed, I suspect you need a diagram of the dispenser instead of the icemaker. Unfortunately, there is not a diagram of how to install the chute door spring. Im attaching a couple of pictures that shows the spring with the original design and the updated design. Im also attaching a picture with instructions of how to remove the front panel (second image). Be sure to disconnect the power first. With the cover off, you will be able to remove the bracket control (# 14 in third image) and this will allow you complete access to the chute door. I hope this will help you.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
