Q:

Suspect Auger Motor 106.58903802

Q:

106.58903802 10658903802 Kenmore Side-by-side

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the lacking of cooling/freezing in the refrigerator, I know how concerning that is to have occur.

If it’s not cooling at all, it first needs to be determined if the compressor is running. If the compressor is running, the problem will probably be in the seal system or with the compressor. It could be a low charge, a restriction or the compressor may not be pumping properly. These are checks a technician will be required to make.
If the compressor is not running, it could be a problem with the starting device, the compressor itself or if the condenser motor is not running. If the motor is not running and the compressor is very hot, the motor will need to be replaced. If the motor is running but not the compressor, it can be very difficult to determine if the problem is with the starting device or the compressor unless the starting device is burnt. A technician will have a kit and meter, he can attach to the compressor, that will determine if the compressor or starting device has failed. Without this kit and meter, the only way to make this determination will be to take a chance and replace the starting device # W10189190 and capacitor # 2169373. If the compressor still won’t run, it will need to be replaced.
Hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
