Question and Answers

Q:

kenmore model 106.58232700 water comes out of dispensor but no water to ice maker

A:

An ice maker is an important feature on a refrigerator, when it stops working it can be frustrating.  I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below for you to view. I hope the link that I provided is helpful. Have a nice day!

Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. Even though the water dispenser is working doesn't mean that the water valve (W10408179) is communicating with the ice maker (W10190965) properly. The issue can also be the ice maker itself. I was able to find a great troubleshooting video that will help you determine which part to replace for the ice maker. You can order any parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

It can be very aggravating when the ice maker in your refrigerator will not produce ice. I did some research and provided a link to a similar question and answer on our site. I hope this will shed a little more light on the issue until the Expert responds to your question in more detail within 24 to 48 hours.

Hot temperatures are coming and we all need the ice maker to be functioning. There are several possible causes. I see you entered a second question for this issue.  I recommend following the troubleshooting steps in the link provided by Yadira, Ice Maker not making ice.  Those are the exact steps I would have recommended. I do suspect this will be a frozen water tube to the ice maker or a bad water inlet valve, which is key # 4 and #6 in the image below. A hair dryer can help unthaw a frozen line. Be careful not to overheat and melt the plastic. Please reply with the results of your checks and I will be happy to assist further. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
