I think its great that you are wanting to do some repairs on your own. I was able to find a link with a similar question and I am also adding a second link in where you can enter the model number of your refrigerator and a parts list diagram will pop up. I hope this helps as a guide with your repair while you wait for your expert response.

I did not find a video that shows how to replace that exact part. This video shows how to replace the motor assembly on the front of that ice maker: Replacing the Icemaker Motor Assembly . Once you get that motor assembly off, you should be able to see how you can remove the stripper and replace that component. Be sure that you unplug the refrigerator before removing the ice maker and beginning that repair. If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Here is one other video that may help you see the components in that ice maker: Icemaker Repair .

Q:

Why is my ice maker not working?

A:

This is likely a problem I can help you with but more detail and a model number would be needed.

Most icemakers have a arm that must be in the on position.

One thing to check is if there is any water/ice in the mold. If there is ice then the problem is most likely with the thermostat that starts the harvesting. If there is no water/ice then the problem can be with the valve or the fill switch.

With more detail and a model number I can assist you further with this problem.

Q:

How do I install the plastic humidity control on the crisper pan?

A:

I do not have one to look at so it will be difficult to explain. It may help to remove the handle trim by pulling the rear of the trim up and roll it forwards on off. You did not state if you are replacing the slide portion or the fixed portion of the control. I assume you are referring to the fixed portion that snaps in. You may have to position one end of the fixed portion in first and slide it all the way over and align and snap the other end in. I do not have any other way of instructing how to snap it in.

Since it snaps into place and you feel like it may break, I recommend taking the drawer to your nearest service center and have them install it.
