Thank you for your question. I know it can be disappointing when the ice dispenser stops working. A good check will be to, press the lever in slowly and listen for a clicking sound. If you do not hear this sound, it indicates that either the switch has failed or the actuator is not making contact with the switch. This can be checked by removing the front cover (see picture). Be sure to disconnect the power first. If you do hear this sound, then the problem could be with the auger motor or the dispenser control. Some voltage checks would need to be made, to determine, which part failed. A technician may be needed to make these checks. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

This will be a problem with the filter housing. There is a by-pass inside the filter housing that allows water to flow through the system without leaking. The housing # W10121138 will have to be replaced. It's available at SearsPartsDirect .

For all the water described that leaked out under pressure, also indicates the water valve was either energized or stuck open. Check the incoming water supply line, to make sure it's connected to the inlet valve. A technician may be needed to check the water lines. Before replacing the filter housing, be sure to shut the water supply valve off and disconnect power to the unit. If you would like more assistance, additional details will be needed.
