Question and Answers

Q:

ice maker not dispensing 10657782701 Kenmore Elite Side by side refrigerator

A:

Thank you for your question. The auger motor operates on 115 volts DC. The positive and negative leads are reversed in the control board in the dispenser to reverse the rotation of the dispenser motor. If the motor is okay, you may have a failure in the dispenser control board if you are not getting the DC voltage out of the component. I added some images below to help you out.

I suspect your problem will be in a wiring connection. I would remove the control board that is mounted in the compressor compartment and check for 115 volts DC on the white/red and gray/orange wires. This is the voltage that drives the dispenser motor. Follow this voltage through the connector at the top hinge of the freezer door and into the dispenser. Hopefully you will find a terminal that has backed out of a connector in these wires.

I HAVE THE SAME MODEL SIDE BY SIDE REFRIGERATOR. I RECENTLY REMOVED THE BIN TO CLEAN IT AND WHEN I PUT THE ICE BIN BACK ON THE IT WOULD NOT DISPENSE ICE. WHEN I PUS THE PAD IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY NOISE AND NOTHING HAPPENS AT ALL. THE ICE MAKER IS MAKING ICE AND FILLING THE BIN, BUT THE PAD IS NOT WORKING. I TRIED TO VIEW THE ATTACHMENTS YOUR PROVIDED BU THEY ARE SO SMALL THAT I CANNOT READ THEM. IS IT POSSIBLE TO INCREASE THE SIDE OF THESE ATTACHMENTS? ALSO, IF THE PAD IS NOT MAKING ANY NOISE (NOT OPERATING) AM I FACED WITH A DIFFERENT ISSUE? YOU ASSISTANCE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. IF YOU NEED TO YOU CAN SEND ME AN EMAIL WITH ATTACHMENT AND GUIDANCE AT DUCKUMP@GMAIL.COM. THANK YOU
