Question and Answers

Q:

ice maker motor replacement 106.57703702

A:

I suspect you mean the auger (dispenser) motor # 2252130. Unless the motor has been checked, I recommend checking the dispenser boards first. It would be very rare for a motor to go out, so soon. The problem could be with one of the boards. This can be some difficult checks and I would recommend having a technician out, to check it. I'm listing a site you can check to have a tech out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you need more assistance, please resubmit your question, with additional details.

Circuits have been checked. Motor is seized according to tech rep. This is the second time in 15 months. I notice Sears has changed using the Whirlpool Icemaker and dispenser, or maybe its Whirlpool who has changed. I am told this si the worst icemaker dispenser in the industry. I certainly would agree with that. The motor is so seized, it cannot be turned by hand, just like the last time.
