It sounds like you had enough ice for the party, which is great. The weather still hot and there is nothing like a cold drink with ice. Let's see what we can do to get the ice maker going faster. The link provided below have some helpful information while you wait for an expert response with additional information.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your ice maker. The information that Anna T provide is very good and you should start by checking the refrigerator temperature first. If this checks to be operating then you will need to check to see if the ice maker is filling with water. If it is not, then the fill tube could be frozen, or the water valve could have failed. To check the fill tube to see if it's frozen will require removing the ice maker. Before removing it I suggest manually energize the valve to see if water will run to the ice maker. To do this first unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet.

Remove the cover from the front of the ice maker to access the module; there will be some test terminals on it. I'm sending a picture of it. With a well insulated jumper place it between terminals L-V. Plug the unit back in and you should get water to the ice maker. If water does run you know the valve and fill tube are ok. If no water flows then you can remove the ice maker to check the fill tube. Removing the ice maker will require taking the 2 screws loose from the top of the ice maker mold and the one under the mold. With it loose you can now disconnect the wire harness and remove the ice maker.

Before doing this again unplug the unit from the wall outlet. If the fill tube is frozen the water valve will need to be replaced. If the tube is clear you will need to reinstall the ice maker to put it into a test cycle. To do this again unplug the unit and with the jumper used earlier, place it between terminals T-H, this should cycle the ice maker when you plug the cord back in. If the ice maker starts after a few seconds remove the jumper and watch it cycle. If it fills at the end of the cycle it indicates the ice maker is not starting on its own and will probably need to be replaced.

If everything checks to be working, I would suggest that you perform the troubleshooting for the ice maker optics. I have include the instructions for this in the second image below. If you don't feel comfortable doing any of these test, just click here to schedule service: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. I am assuming you are replacing the auger motor that turns the auger to dispense ice. The correct part number of the auger motor is 2252130. The price of the motor is $101.64.

You need to call Sears Parts Direct at 1-800-252-1698 and ask for permission to return the motor you received and order the correct motor.
