Question and Answers

Q:

Icemaker water supply tube replacement. 106-57702700

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to replace the water tube on your refrigerator. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.

Directions are as follows:

To remove the water line tubing, push the collet against the body of the union and pull out the tubes. When reconnecting the water lines, cut off 1/2" of tubing before reinstalling. Insert the tubes until they "bottom out" in the connector (approximately 1/2" of insertion for each tube). This will assure a good seal and will prevent possible damage due to water leaks. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.

Let me know if this helps.

I apologize for the trouble you're having with your Kenmore refrigerator and I will be happy to assist you. It sounds like the touchpad on the dispenser or a wiring connection inside the dispenser is shorting. When the control beeps it indicates a button is being pushed. Since you are not pushing any buttons, the touchpad must be shorting and causing the unit to beep. I recommend scheduling for a technician to diagnose and repair the problem. You can schedule service at Sears Home Services .

Q:

Why did my refrigerator stop dispensing ice?

A:

On pins 1 and 2, that will be the br/wh and rd/wh wires, you should get 120vdc. This will be DC voltage. Be careful making this voltage check. Also make sure all the wires and connectors are in place. Nothing should be disconnected, when making this voltage check. If you have this voltage, when the actuator lever is pressed but the motor does not run, the motor # 2252130 will need to be replaced. If the voltage is not there when activated, the core board # 2252174 will need to be replaced. Both of these parts are available at Sears PartsDirect . If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
