Q:

How to remove and replace the crisper shelf support.

A:

These are twist out and twist back in type supports. Twist the stud counterclockwise to remove it and clockwise to reinstall it. If the stud on yours broke off, there is no special way to remove it. You will have to try to dig out the rest of the stud (use needle nose pliers) or insert the new stud and it might move the old piece out of the way. A technician may be needed for this repair.

A:

Hi,

Thank you for your question. It is concerning when the refrigerator is not functioning correctly. If by the switch you mean the lights switch the console in the refrigerator needs to be opened up. There are 4 screws that hold the panel up.
Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts.
Once the panel is loose and where you can get to the clips, you can squeeze the clips and pull the switch out of the panel. Clip the new one in and reinstall the panel and your done.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply below this entry.
